E36 Windscreen Washer pump

Guys,

need some help - my 318 E36 failed it's MOT

One item was the washer pump for the wipers, no fluid is coming through, there is water in there and when you attempt to use it, i can hear the pump working, but no water is being pulled through?

Any ideas?

The car is going back to the garage 2mo to be fixed, but i'd like to fix anything myself!

Olly, I have a E36 320i I'm breaking if you want the pump? PM me and we can sort it out.

If the pump is running and you have plenty of fluid in the tank then it could be a blocked washer jet - pop the pipe of the back of it to see if fluid comes out when the pump is running. If no fluid it could be a blocked/kinked pipe or the pump may be blocked. Some cars have a little filter in the tank before the pump and over time this can get blocked.

just took it apart, pump was working - blew do the tube and job done!!!

worked a treat!!
