The sad news seems to be confirmed by all news agencies now.

Would also like to send my thoughts and best wishes to the families of all concerned. Another bad day for British motorsport.

Seems like the pilot of the jet died a hero, trying to steer away from houses and playing fields.

It appears to have involved two racers: David Leslie and Richard Lloyd. frown

A hero? It hit a roof?

Well, yes but it was the last house on the edge of the estate so maybe he was trying for the surrounding grassed area. If he'd had come down just 100 feet in towards the middle of the the close well...

How bizarre, I was helping my friend out on Saturday at Knockhill who runs a team and have a guess who's old car?

^^ Exactly-and I just heard a report from eye-witness saying he could see the pilot fighting controls & appeared to be trying to weave plane "through the houses". That takes b@alls when you know you're that close to death/crashing.
Great shame for Leslie & Richard Lloyd's family. Plus a loss to his team -Apex Motorsport?

Weren't they trying to run the XK8 in GT3 last season?
