e39 tourer 2001 front brakes

hiya all,
had a thing the other day with the brakes,,
overtook quickly, about 70mph, braked hard and for the next few hundred yards had this sound from the front
end brakes like something was catching, shoo shoo is the best way to describe it, dosent happen under normal braking. new front wheel bearings fitted 6 months ago,
any ideas on this, happened a few times, thanks

Could be a stone stuck in a caliper, it'll work it's way out on it's own if you can't see it.
