Can anyone tell me more about the HCI? Was it just the name given to the bosch fuel injected cars in 88?

Also, are white interiors rare on esprits?

Ok.

Was there anything special about a white on white car in 88? Owner refers to it as a special edition car.

So far, I have yet to find the same style car pics anywhere. The spoiler was the strange part, it had brake lights in it (!?)

At about this time Lotus sold a 40th Anniversary Esprit that was pearl white. Don't know about the interior.

Could it be one of these?

James,

The letters HCI stand for High Compression Injected and refer to both the Bosche K-jetronic fuel injection system and the addition of Nikosil lined aluminum cylinder liners w/ matched forged aluminum pistons. Previous models had cast iron liners and cast aluminum pistons. Happy Motoring! Jim'85TE
