There were 10 entries in last week, which is good going since the entrys only came out just before so with 2 weeks to go should be a good, and a good start to the year with atleast 6 more cars comming out later...

so we'reon target for 15-20 cars at cadwell.

my entry is in although car not ready yet !! and unlikely to test
before

You guys have some good Cerb competition at Cadwell though from ITSALLYELLOW, seems to be going well, when he remembers to put the fuel in!!!!!idea to cure the misfire!! All the best Jonny

Thanks for that John! Yes that wasn't my greatest moment. At least it gave people something to laugh about!! (other than my driving!)

Nice article in Sprint chaps, especially the second last paragraph which refers to you both being "well endowed!"

She Lives..... The tuscan has finally been put back into the lowest number of parts its been since the gearbox exploded at rockingham, after priming the oil system, a quick turn over to check the oil pressure came up ok, the fuel pumps were turned on and she barked into life...

A little lumpy to start with, but that soon settled down, and it sounds great...

So just a few more little jobs and I'll see you all late friday night ;-)

cheers

<LOL> dont worry chap you'll be fine...

I've said it before and I'll say it again... For the First race all you need to prove is you can keep your head and finish the race, dont worry too much about lap times and finishing position..

You only ever do your first race once and its a bit special so enjoy it, Dont spoil it by putting too much pressure on your self..

This is all especially true of Cadwell It is a fantastic circuit but There are a number of opportunities to get it very wrong !!! and the circuit isnt very forgiving it you do..

Im probably teaching you all to suck egg's but here's just a few pointers for the new guy's in their first race or so.

1) Lapping cars: You dont have to leap out of the way, be aware of them, and stick to your line, they will go around you, they are faster. Jumping out of the way can cause problems as your doing something unexpected. also dont do anything that would make it difficult for them to pass.

Also in the event things do go wrong

1) Running out of road: If you do find yourself on the green bit, be very gently with the controls, come off the power gently, and slowley tease the car back onto the circuit. Violent moves will get you in more trouble...

2) Spinning, or after contact with something: in the worst case if you are spinning or have bounced off something hard: the best advice here is " if you spin both feet in" which is standing on the clutch and the brakes. This will stop the car spinning, and also stop you coming back across the track. A common mistake is to have an off, and get away with it but then get collected by following cars, as you roll back across the circuit.

But above all enjoy yourselves, if you have a problem or are unsure about anything, procedure or on the track, just ask the guys around you. We all want to have a great race and everyone will help out.

see you all there

Cheers
Graham

p.s.

If you do go out in qually and find yourself at the front by 5 seconds, Ignore everything I've said you are clearly a driving god hehe
