280 FHC Rear Screen?

Mate of mine asked me how much it would cost for a new rear screen for a Tasmin coupe and where to buy them

Thought I would put the question forward to the font of all pointy knowledge

Scott I think your friend may be looking for the Holy Grail as these seem to be rarer than a Chim with its roof off!

But I recently spoke with the guys at Mobile Windscreens who do carry 350 & 400/450 windscreens (from Pilkinton Triplex) and they said it might be something that they could get produced again subject to quantity etc. so it might be worth his while trying them to ask???

We had a feeling it would be a difficult thing to find as they're as rare as a decent modern pop cover song

Am I correct in thinking that there is no curvature to the rear screen??? If so, maybe its possible to have one made?

I believe they are slightly curved although if you just using the car for track work etc I'd stick a flat bit of Perspex in. If you are after a second hand one email me via my profile.

not perspex, it shatters into sharp pieces... you need polycarbonate..

And yes Polycarb would be the thing to use if it was going to be another track sg

Speaking of which, theres a reasonable 350i Coupe on Ebay at the moment...guy has a reserve in place, but I dont honestly see it going for much over £1500

Could be a good project for someone?
