OK, finally got my temp gauge working, by fitting a new sender and sorting an earth, but now it will barely move up the gauage and hovers around blue!

Oil pressure starts off at 30psi with ignition on and engine off, rising to 60 with engine on.

Oil pressure light not illuminating after removing the led, what colour wires go where? (wasn't me by the way wink)

Thanks

Sounds suspiciously like your senders and gauges are not talking the same money, they need to be matched..

My dash wiring is at http://tvr3.dspen.com/Wiring_Diags/dashboard.jpg the 'dangling wires' just go straight to the sensors/senders (which go to ground).

Ahhh, just what I needed, thanks - how do I match the gauges and sensors? Please tell me it's something very simple like moving a slider at the back....

You buy the ones that are calibrated the same as your gauges, I think yours maybe early, so VDO IIRC (but easiest just to buy from ETB IMHO).

You can stick the temp sensor in water & link the pressure gauge to a compressor for simple tests.

Yeah, I got the sender from ETB, that's what makes it even more confusing!

HI there

Mine are Caerbont gauges and I got this info from them for the temp sender.

> The temp sender part number is TT4803-01.

> temps:
> 1130 ohms at 40 deg C,
> 332 ohms at 70 deg C,
> 119 ohms at 100 deg C
