Hi Spec brake conversion

Hi,
Has anyone fitted Hi-Spec 4 pot ultralite calipers to the front of there elise S1. We bought a pair and fitted them but have come across a couple of issues:
1. The BFG braided hoses need the thread cut down to 9mm so as not to foul the the piston below the hole and therefore push it out onto the pad, when screwed in, a copper washer had to be placed over the thread to make the seal when in place.
2. When fitted the disc is not in the middle of the caliper, 12mm clearance inside, 17mm outside, the pads are 14mm thick!!
3. When fitting the calipers on and tightening down the allen bolts the calipers jam against the disc, spacers had to be put i between the face of the caliper and the hub therefore raising the height and clearance.
Anyones thoughts?? have the wrong ones been sent out, it seems a right old drama seeing as they were "direct replacements"
