New S1 owner

Just a quick hello. Picked up a S1 Elise on Friday and was able to take it for my first proper drive today, very impressed so far.

Been driving a Mk2 MX-5 for the last 3 years so easing in to the Elise as I've never had a mid-engined car before.

Welcome to the fold! Very addictive cars to drive ... You'll end up choosing the long route home from now on Just be careful with the throttle on wet roads - If provoked, the Elise will bite! Also, standing water is not your friend. The combination of lightweight and wide tyres results in aquaplaning over 50-60mph!

I'm doing the same thing - upgrading from an MX5 to an Elise! I think quite a few people seem to do the same?

Taken it out for a run the last two evenings, absolutely stunning car

Difference to the MX-5 is simply night and day, so much more responsive.

Booked in for a Lotus on Track North Weald Activity Day and considering the Brands Hatch Indy Novice Evening in July.
