4th Anniversary

Picked up my Tam four years ago today.

It's been a blast! I've put 43000 miles on her giving a grand total of 46k.

Honestly can't think of anything I would like to replace her with without the benefit of about £70 grand, so here's to the next four (+) years.

Had a back to Blackpool rebuild 3000 miles after I got her. Nothing that has been a huge problem since, despite being my daily drive for the first three years.

It sure is a sports exhaust, and at 120+ db it is well loud and sounds great.

23K on my Sagi and only looking forward. keep hearing things, ticks and the like. Must be in my head...caused by reading too much on here! Take wife along now...works a treat...never hear anything but SLOW DOWN, SLOW DOWN.

Good user name.

One tip courtesy of Maxx waxx - don't be tempted to drive over the top of any dead badgers in the road. The saggy is very low and it can scoop up bits of rotten badger into the venturi type scoop at the back.

we had same but normal decats and they used to spit flames out on gear changes and overrun
defo worth having sports pipes just for the pops and bangs on the overrun

Dead Badgers...no surely not..where. I keep telling them to look before they cross. Got nick named Badger cos I was picking my mate up one night, nearly ran him over...minor incident..it was dark..rain..not me being blind...every one else in the car, Morris Marina, saw him...should have told me...I would have swerved, couldn't stop as the tyres were the racing variety, bald, like me now.

Good effort Andy. I like to think I may have helped you on your way to eventually buying your TVR. I got my T350 just over a week before you got your car though I think I may have punished mine a bit more, well it has done over 80k now. A fair few of them on track, did I really put you off with that day at Cadwell?

PYNEY, I don't want to make the madbadger madder by hijacking his celebratory thread. So very briefly - serviced every 6,000 miles, used regularly, warmed before caning, tracked 4 or 5 times a year. Engine rebuild at 60k, clutch replaced and diff reconditioned at 40k, also nitrons fitted all round about the same time, clutch replaced again at rebuild (though wasn't quite necessary), just getting it's steering rack attended to now. Obviously plenty of stuff has worn out and been replaced. Had a spate of fuseable link failiures in close succession and recently had a very hard to trace cooling issue. Fourth radiator and some electrical work seems to have it sorted. Not including the damage I inflicted upon it crashing into a stationary van and the damage inflicted on it whilst it was stationary at a dealer that's about it. Happy to bang on about how brilliant my car and TVRs are in general but that's enough for now.
