Pan-European broadcaster Eurosport and commercial broadcaster Channel 4 secured the TV rights for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship in the UK.

Under the deal, the British Eurosport 2 channel will broadcast a regular 4-hour live race day show, race day highlights and a 'British Superbikes Extra' show featuring all races from the weekends British 125GP, Metzeler National Superstock 600/1000 and KTM 990 Super Duke Championships. The Eurosport Group will also exclusively broadcast BSB live across Europe on Eurosport 2 as well as providing live streaming of all races on Eurosport's websites.

Channel 4 will broadcast a one-hour highlights show after each event, which will be repeated later in the week. The same programme will also be available on C4+1, the internet and selected digital television partners through Channel 4's video-on-demand service.

The deal marks a return to the Championship for Channel 4, which last covered the event in 2005.

I hope C4 show more of the racing in their show than just talking waffle like they did last time , used to be about ten mins of coverage from each race and the rest talking . More racing and less chat.

im going on friday to swan around, get drunk and generally enjoy the fact that im having a free weekend at bsb (including hospitality and hotel) courtesy of work.

oh, and to watch the greatest superbike team on earth wipe the floor with the opposition...........

We'll be inside at Druids probably, ticket turned up yesterday . . . can't wait . . . I hate the winter break, but it serves a purpose. I hate the walk to the car at the final round each year, it seems such an eternity to wait for the following year . . .

Gotta say Haslam has looked very good in pre season testing .. . .

Have they resolved the Ducati ruling for superstock yet ?

Can Shakey rekindle the riding from his past Ducati days ?

Has Haslam learnt how to win a season long campaign yet, or will he start poorly like normal then get better too late ?

How quick is Watanabe going to be ?

Cal Crutchlow, has he got it ?

Will Leon Camier get through the weekend without throwing an expensive 1098 up the road ?

Can Karl Harris get that R1 up the front like Haga and Corser ?

Will Hawk Kawasaki have one or two riders on the grid ?

I'm going to miss Mallorty, Oulton in May & Snetterton this year for Assen, a Euro tour and Le Mans, not a bad swap I suppose wink but I'll be at all of the rest except Knockhill unless i can time a business trip . . .

Worst attendance I'll have managed in a few years frown

If you see a a black Griffith and Green Chimaera at any venue this year, say hello wavey
