Guys, I've "won" a set of HSV/AP brakes on e bay (is the seller anybody on here?). Just wondered if there were any special considerations when installing?

Thanks Roger, a buddy bid on them for me just after I left you this morning, they are the same as on the black/silver ro outside your workshop.

On the spare worst case is put the spare on the rear, and put the rear on the front if you get a puncture on the front

Without going out in stereo again my spare did not fit the rear although I have 18" wheels not 19" like the VXR's.

I presume the spare will fit over the standard vxr brakes though?

Having kerbed my n/s front tyre to destruction a couple of years ago I can confirm that the standard pram wheel spare does fit the standard front VXR brake assembly, looks very silly tho'! I'm assuming that the spares are the same for the VXR and the CV8 (asssumption being the mother of all ***k ups!

Two things i've learnt about an 04 CV8:-
1) A standard 18" wheel won't fit in the boot well.
2) The space saver spare won't fit over 6.0 VXR brakes. I got round this by machining the centre out of an old front disc and welding it to the inside of the spare. This allowed it to fit over the rear brakes, but I can't remember if it went over the fronts as well (having another craft moment confused )
