Bit of a running report...now that the Tuscan's a daily driver.

Got sick of my fillings coming loose so Nitrons are now backed off to 4 at the back and 6 up front. This seems to have transformed the ride quality without major changes to the handling, at least in the dry.

Tyre pressures - suggests 22 in the handbook - anyone actually run their tyres this low? I fitted Eagle F1s up front a week ago and had been running them at 30 but this must be too high. Rears are Pilot Sport - had been running at 24. I'd have thought that the pressures should be a bit higher up front to deal with the extra weight but the manual suggests higher pressures at the back for speed...28 vs 25. Also, the F1s have 'extra load' printed on the side - I assume this is to do with speed rather than weight or tyre pressure. Any thoughts?

Squeaks wise, can't recommend enough the liberal application of silicon to the roof and rear window seals - finally a squeak free ride!

Everyone seems to run the Tuscan tyres at different pressures. I seem to find 24 PSI all round is good.

TVR Power suggested 24 all round last time I was in.

not having had a look, how do you adjust the nitrons? is there a damping valve adjuster on the body of the shock?

mine are set up hard, and have just lived with it.... perhaps i should have a fiddle

10 minute job. Raise each corner a bit so you can reach over the wheel. With a lamp, you will be able to see the gold coloured adjuster at the top of each shock. Look out for arrows with + and - to show you which way to turn. I find it most accurate to wind each one all the way to the softest setting (i.e. minus) and then count the clicks back. Don't go to quickly or you may not get a definitive 'click' at each small turn.

Let me know how you find the difference!

Cheers

A quick spray of WD40 relieves some frustration caused by the winter weather as well......

Can anyone explain to me (in words of one sylible) the theory behind adjustable suspension please.

Should I change the settings when I have a full load for instance (and then which way and to what and why ?), i.e. when I am going to Le Mans I will be two up with a boot full of luggage.

What can I expect to happen if the settings are to high or to low ?

etc. etc. etc.
