Anyone got one down their shed?

I think it's the unit that originally came with the Chimaera out of the factory - but I might be wrong. It connects up to the 6 CD changer in the boot.

I don't mind paying a fee. I know I could just buy another newer player but I've quite got the hang of this player and would rather keep it.

I only really need the removable front end as a couple of my buttons just don't seem to work anymore but would be willing to buy the whole unit as well. i'm assuming that someone elses front unit would work perfectly OK in my player.

Here's a (poor quality) picture:

Many thanks.

Do you know what, I think I still have my old one at my parents' place, along with original speakers and cd changer. Shall have a look next time I'm there. Can't remember now if it all works 100% mind.

You may have to replace the whole head unit, as the fronts are often coded to the rears - best check.

I think I may have the whole unit in the garage somewhere. Took it out after the multi-changer broke and I just replaced the whole thing with an MP3 headunit. Will have a look and see if I can find it. You're welcome to it if I can. PM me if you want it.

Arran: YHM

Munky: Thanks mate, I've e-mailed Arran as his is in his garage whilst you would have to go to your parents - but thank you very much. If Arran can't find his I'll PM you.

Chris (cmr2payne): Thanks for looking and if all else fails I'll have to try that but I think the KEN 5400R is ever so slightly different from the KEH 5400R - I may be wrong.

Gavin (crackedfinger): Thanks for the advice mate - I think your probably right.

Again - Very grateful for the replies - your all good people

I have a KEH-P4500R which was working fine about 4 years ago but replaced with a shiny silver MP3 player,
If this is any help you can have for the the price of postage.

Regards
Gary.
