Speed 6 Immobiliser
Discussion
Following little use over winter my cerbera is refusing to start. The rear screen LED flashes about 4 times in 6 seconds which according to the manual indicates bonnet open which isn't surprising as I had to charge from flat. When I use the key fob to unlock and immobilise it lets me in ok but on pressing the ignition button wont turn the starter and the LEDs continue flashing rather than the usual 10 sec opportunity to start the car. The dash lights up ok.
Any ideas??? before I go to the unpleasant expense of having it recovered 50 milis to my bearest TVR garage.
Thanks !

Explanation as to why you have to disconnect the battery...
If the battery runs down to a certain level, the immobiliser detects a fault, kicks in, and 'listens' for something to happen. If you charge the car up slowly while the battery is connected, the voltage in the battery just creeps up very slowly and the immobiliser doesn't 'hear' it, so it remains immobilized. A reset, ie disconnect the battery, wakes the immobiliser up. It's recommended that you disconnect the positive lead from the battery, but becaue this is a PITA, try the negative lead first, and if it doesn't work, then do the positive.

I've got into the spirit of this now ratherthan copping out and sending to the garage. I was wrong yesterday the fuel pump does not prime. I have taken the foot weel trim apart, i can't see an obvious fuse, just a couple of electronics boces one is the wiper unit the other I'm not sure but reads MBE systems?
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi, the alarm control boxes are not in the footwell, my alarm fuse is by the battery in a waterproof fuse holder.
Have tried the overide key, so don't use the remote just press the car ignition and push the override key in the slot for about three seconds this should un-immobilise the car.
If the light still blinks you have a problem with the alarm control box, you try disconnecting that for five minutes.
Good luck.
Thats assuming the Speed six has the same alarm as a 4.2!

There is no fuse by the battery either, where is alarm control box? I'll try that next.
Thanks
Hi, the alarm control box is behind the helmet holder (again assuming the speed six is the same as a 4.2!)
Try un-plugging the large white molex connector for five minutes.
good luck..
