anything round & black thats not made in china. if you dont push it that much you'll never find the limits of any tyres in good conditions. go for something thats sports-touring as they last longer being dual compound.
i've got BT-021s & they really do last for me so i'm probably sticking with them. others i know swear by conti road-attacks or michelin pilot road 2s.

Avon Storm ST
If you ride in the winter , or wet , i would resist the St on the front , go for one of their more sport orientated tyres like the vyper I thought the Avon Storm ST was aimed at winter / wet weather in mind from the reviews I have read?
I'm about to replace the tyres on my Cat (Dunlop Sportmax D220) with the Avons... what makes you say go for a more sport orientated for front?
I do 12k pa on the bike...
A number of mates have found that a st front is just too tough a compound .
The rear is fine for hooning , especially mountain tours , but the SP , now vypers , are better .
This may just be related to the weight of the Busa , but a few have found some frightening times in the wet and cold , so we always go for the SP , when we can get them , very few around now.

Thats fair enough will give it some thought... will have a look at the vypers (are they spelt like that?!) The rear is fine for hooning , especially mountain tours , but the SP , now vypers , are better .

Simple, Pirelli Diablo
+1, I like them too, came from Dragon evo, Dragon etc. Almost always bought Pirelli and when I didn't I soon came back. At the moment I'm using Diablo rear and Diablo corsa front - tried a Corsa rear but didn't notice any improvement and it wore out in a very short time indeed.Rear lasts probably 3-4,000 miles and front (corsa) around 6,000 on a 916.
While resisting the urge to type "black and round" as being what I normally look for in a tyre I would recommend either BT021's or Pilot Road 2's.
Both give more than enough grip for casual riding, Bridgestones are my preference in the dry, but the Michelins are better in the wet and last ever so slightly longer.

I'd deffo look at the Pirelli Diablo Rossos, Bridgestone BT-016s and even the Dunlop RoadSmarts. Tyres today are awesome, I mean, the RoadSmarts are a sports/touring tyre but they launched them at the Mireval facility and unleashed us on GSX-R750s on 'em. Racing improves the breed...

Spent a bit of time chatting to B&C tyres today weighing up the pro's and con's of a few brands... we settled on Avon Storm ST rear, Avon Vyper Sport on the front - they are being fitted next Friday.
£180 fitted - Ride in ... Ride out
Excellent combination £180 fitted - Ride in ... Ride out

He reckons about 6-8k miles from them should be ok but they will likely both need replacing at same time.
