Saving games off a PS3 without picture.

Hi,

I'm having problems with my PS3 display so this is a bit of a tricky one.

I want to be able to get my saved games off the PS3 onto my USB memory stick but I can't make out the display. Does anyone know what the steps and button combination from the machine starting up to press to copy the saved games to the USB stick.

If it helps I only have one game, CoD4?

I know this probably isn't possible but it's worth a try

That will get you to select the option that copies the data to a memory stick, whether there's any options after that I don't know as it won't let me proceed without a memory stick plugged in.

Also isn't most of the important stuff in COD4 held on the central server? Your online ranking doesnt appear til you have downloaded game settings.

Thank you, I will try that.

I'm not too bothered about the single player on CoD4 as long as I don't have to go back to rank1 again on the multiplayer!

I have my username & password details saved.

Could you swap the HD out of your knackered machine with a friends and do the copy that way, then swap it back?
