I'd be grateful for any tips on where to find the 'earth' which looks after the steering wheel buttons and indicators please?

Symptoms: Indicatos - will go 2/3 times then stop. But second time will stay on until cancelled. Sometimes nothing happens. If I beep the horn then they will go back to working rolleyes

Same with full beam - sometimes doesn't work at all or won't switch off. Again, beep the horn and the situation rectifies itself.

This also seems to work for the wipers as well.

My worst nightmare is a dark rainy night, in town! laugh

I'd appreciate any advice/experience/pointers! Thanks! smile

Indicators have nothing to do with the Horn buttons.
Chek ALL your fuses, Cerbs do strange things when a fuse has blown.

Cerbs often self-fix so might not be a problem tomorrow biggrin

I did have similar issues combined with a hot start problem where you had to hold the the drivers side window down, press the starter button and beep the horn to get going (I kid you not) - had the alarm replaced (can I say Carl Barker without getting binned nowadays?), all electrical probelms vanished.

The tape that runs through the steering column can be problematic, try the connection from the back of the steering wheel down the steering column. Your indicators 'should' not be related, but they can do some mad things!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Will check suggestions. The only thing I know to be fine is the Carl Baker side of things - I removed the alarm recently and sent it to Carl for checking and new key fobs etc. etc. so at least I can rule that out.

Tbh, this isn't a recent issue, I have just been a bit slack - it has been going on for some months, but as I found the 'beep the horn' fix, it has slipped down the list. However, it is bugging me lots now, so I want to get it sorted.

Will post progress! tongue out

Nicky I've had this problem for over a year now and it all started after the car was out in the snow last February. Exactly the same symptoms - a toot solves everything. I've resigned myself to tooting whilst tootling and have since received many friendly waves from people who think I'm tooting at them as I go by. A marvelous boost to one's ego... but I would be interested in a fix!

Well, that IS spooky! I will make sure to update this thread as I check through things. I take some comfort knowing I'm not alone! smile Good to know that it's turned into such a positive on the social front though! tongue out (We'll be a right pair in the same convoy on Sunday won't we?! rolleyes)

Hello amazon,

when I got my Cerbera last year I had the problem, that sometimes when I turn the steering wheel hard for a roundabout, it could be that the whipers start. After an accurate testing by the swiss TVR importer, the mistake was found... he replaced the data cable under the steering wheel and everything was good... because when it's damaged, there are sometimes malfunction by touching from the cable to the other metal!

Hope that helps!

Cheers
