Seems to be quite a few people coming out to Singa for the GP

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Any chance a mod can make this sticky (oooo-err matron) and as things get closer and i know how many people will be here i can organise a pissup (i even know a suitable brewery .... )

Cheers.

Not booked yet but our plan is to arrive Wednesday (most likely to go to the hotel and collapse) and to leave on the Tuesday. With luck that should cut down on the number of others we find in the airport and give us the Monday to have a proper trip into town.

Most definitely up for a meet. As for days/times I'm sure XJSJohn will have the best ideas but shall I tentatively put forward Friday evening?

I was going to wait untill a month before then see who was going to be where and arriving when. From that i was going to find a suitably friendly bar and get them to reserve us some sort of perching area.

no point in over planning things at this stage, lets how many people first!!

now ... i have a Pistonheads T-Shirt somewhere ....

And when booking flights ... if Singapore Airlines happen to be a little more expensive, it is WELL worth it ... brilliant service and seats yes

Yep amen to that! I am flying to Sydney on the A380 evening service and it has been bigged up by several friends who've used and enjoyed it!

Now, officially a Singapore resident, I'll be here for the GP. Havn't got any tickets yet though (are they still available?).

So...when is the pissup?

On the official site there are still plenty of tickets left. There are also a couple of grandstands that they haven't yet started to sell.

Am flying through on the way back from NZ on the Saturday morning...not sure what time we land, probably obscenely early.

So I'll wave at you all from one plane or another, I guess.

(And yes, I know, we planned it badly...if I'd looked at the GP calendar I'd have delayed the flight by 48hrs and told the wife I was treating her to a weekend in Singapore!)

Have seen all the lighting gantries from the bus, but haven't been round yet - I meant to go and have a look round at the weekend, but an almighty hangover kept me in bed!

you're drinking more than just Tiger aren't you ... and in airconditioned bars!!

The AC bars is the biggest killer as as soon as you step outside the humidity sucks every last ounce of fluid out of the body leaving you like a dried boozy prune!

Pit lanes are under the marina bay flyover (ECP) other side of the road from Suntec.

Edit to add - am on a yacht race this weekend but if you fancy trying to driv ethe track next (followed by beers) give me a shout!
