So I was thinking about selling my car.....

And was wondering what you think I should be asking for it,
My current thinking is that if I flog it and buy something flashy like an Octavia Diesel then I can start saving my pennies with a view to buying something fun that I can keep in the garage and polish.

Car is a:
330d Sport Touring in Silver with black leather
Registered Dec 2001 (51 reg)
5 gear Manual (So it's the 180ish BHP version)
74,000 miles
BMW Warranty until November plus tax and mot etc....
Power memory seats and roof.
Aftermarket ipod and bluetooth.
New tyres, generally well cared for...............

What do you think? I doubt the usual guides will be very accurate bearing in mind the car's age and condition......

Similar car but SE rather than Sport, i sold mine for just over £8k. Most people were asking more like £9k but they are still for sale 2 months later. Market is very poor.

So, if you want to sell it: find the cheapest equivalent within 100 miles on Autotrader.co.uk, phone up and see if it's sold, and then price yours on the basis of that phone call.

I still see 51 plates 330d sports going for upto 12.5k in garages. Mine is a 51 plate silver 57k on and i'd be wanting probably about 11k if i put it for sale. Not sure how the touring differs from the saloon on price tho.

I would put that up for around £10.5-11k.

BMW Warranty, average mileage, sport pack, leather are all in your favour.
