996/986 overheating blues
Discussion
Whilst we are on the subject of hot runners I have a few words of wisdom for the watercooled six pack pork owners out there.
A few customers recently have complained to us about overheating of their 996 or Boxster, especially on track days. In depth investigation (sic) found us merely spending 30 minutes on the ramp digging out humongous volumes of debritus that had collected and compacted onto the front of the radiators.
No doubt that this has been mentioned before (if it has apologies for not looking) but whenever you clean your car, get the Vax out and suck out all the crap from the radiator cavities in the front, I'm sure you will find it runs cooler.
