so, as a rule of thumb, what should i be upgrading first? : )

Your 'unexpected roll oversteer' controlling skills on a greasy roundabout.

Nah, they're fine, I've had one for five years and not managed to park it in the scenery, yet... Come close on a few occasions mind.

As a cheap fix I'd say brake pads.

If you want more power how about a Spoon exhaust, GruppeM induction kit and a Hondata ECU? Remember though that the engine is highly tuned and you're not going to get a lot more power without doing a lot of work (more ££&#163wink.

You'll probably find that the biggest performance gain would be some advanced road/track training.

So, where's the pics?!

still to pick it up but will put pic's up when i do smile

i think the performance is enough at the moment, not a big fan of the audio set up though, needs a bit more refinement, not talking subwoofer or anything, but a decent head unit and speakers to replace the current set up

will have a look at a bbk, or will that involve changing the alloys? i would like to get this to the ocassional track day

spoon exhaust? how much and is it worth it? do you have a utubeclip?

cant wait!

The pads are fine for road use and even for some track use if you haven't done a trackday before, the standard calipers can still slow the car down with ease with 400bhp. Uprated pads and disks just wont last very long.
Gruppe M is expensive an and AEM cai does almost as good a job for about half the price but you have to avoid fords etc, because of where the air intake is fitted.
Spoon bpipe and standard backbox combo are the cheapest and quietest exhuast solution to go for. It'll quiert enough for most trackdays.
Hondata kpro ECU should be you first mod, you can run one of the maps that come with it and once you have fitted the rest of the engine mods you plan to do, you can then get it mapped at some where like Tdi or cpl.

i bought aem. its going on tomorrow. should be niiice. its the cold air one, not the crappy ram one. vroom.

ok, so first impressions WHARHAHAAHREHAR HAHAHHAH

stereo - although it looks dated, it actually produces decent quality sound and the speakers arent too bad either. Good for security as no theif would want it *touches wood* as it is an awkward shape

i have also found on the net, a device you can buy so you can use line in audio cables to plug in my mp3 player, so i can imagine that staying the same

is it true that they have never had a case of this engine failing?

will join the type r forum that has been mentioned on other posts soon once i can get this silly grin off my face

mate, just shell out for alpine head unit you will get 4 x 50w instead of 4 x 0!

check your oil regularly.

No, the engines do go bang, like all engine can. Going from 5th to 2nd at speed and other mis shifting is one of the most common causes as well a letting the oil run dry. Check it every week.

As said above.....CHECK YOUR OIL!!!!

My first CTR didnt seem to use much oil then it would drink a litre in one gulp...

Best mod I did was fitting a Gruppe M, definitly not the cheapest..but transformed the car IMO
