A slightly different tyre question

Has anyone tried Pirelli P Zeros on a Chimaera or Griffith? They seem to get rave reviews for most cars and I was wondering ...
I don't want to start a Toyo/SO3/SO2 debate - I know those answers and will fit SO3s if nobody gives me a positive answer to the above question. My rears are kojak right now and I need to replace them before the next sortie into Europe once all the kids have gone back to school.
I guess I need to find out if P Zeros even come in 245 x 45 x 16 and 225 x 45 x 16 (yes, 16s on the front too).

Make sure that you get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3s and not the D2s. If you go for the Pirelli make sure that you get the Yellow P-Zero and not the Red. Some people seem to think that Pirellis can be suspect in the wet; you also only seem to see them on heavier cars (like Ferraris.) I wasn't impressed with Pirellis on the Wedge but don't know of any Griff owners who have tried them.

I have SO3s on my 4.0 and think they are ok, but maybe not as good as the previous SO2s. The rears are nearly worn out (done about 13k miles, 5 track days) so I will be going for Toyos, hopefully the TVR branded ones.
PZeros do have a good reputation but they are always fitted on on heavier cars so I don't know how they would fare on a TVR.
If you want to have a go of my SO3s before I remove them let me know.

I have P-Zeros on my Griff for no other reason than it came fitted with them. Since that time, not wishing to mix tyre types on the car, I have replaced worn tyres with the same make.
I have owned the car for just over 18 months during which time I have driven 25000 miles. It is my only car so has been used daily in all weather conditions.
Only time the handling became 'interesting' was during the snow last winter although, in fairness, I guess any Griff would be the same regardless of the tyres fitted.
Not having tried any other makes of tyre, I cannot offer a comparison of P-Zeros in relation to them but I am happy with the performance of the Griff as it is and see no reason to change.

Thanks. Done any track days? How's it grip in the wet (obviously it will break traction if you boot it, but how's the feel/how well does it hold on?).
I'm tempted to put some on the back out to see how they go. 'bout the same price as SO3s anyway.

No track days - potential future purchasers please note
No problems in the wet other than being a little over enthusiastic at busy junctions a couple of times.
(See gap, go for it, wheels turned, excess loud pedal - we've all been there. Haven't we ?)
Feel is good and predictable when making progress. Can't comment when on the ragged edge because I try to avoid being there on public roads.
I can't imagine P-Zeros are dramatically better than other makes because if they were everybody would know about it and be using them. Equally, I don't see them being much worse.
Pity you can't 'try before you buy'...
