x5 doors wont open

both the front doors on my 02 x5 wont open from either the insid or outside!!
they are unlocked
this has happened b4 and had new handle fitted but now both handles are not working
they broke at separate times so not elec fault
any help or advise would be welcome thx darron

Common fault with these is the door lock mechanism fails...Basically siezes internally.
No easy to do this,what you need to do is remove the door card...quite difficult with door shut but will come off-you may need to remove front seats.Drop the back seat down so you can lift them up onto it out of the way.
Once the door card and membrane are off you can get to the lock mech and lever on the release..then the door opens.
