Yes, I'm waiting for feedback as well.
Shouldn't be too long, Dean Hays has them on his Tuscan and just did the IOM trip,

I think we have about 9 kits either fitted or being fitted by various dealers, including Track v road, Neil Garner and Dom is trying them out on the SC400

I'll come round in the week Colin - probably on way home from work.

I'm poised to spend at long last !

Cheers mate.

Good news. The next run round Dono you'll be blowing em all off through the corners as well as on the straights !

Colin.

I'd get rid of that Corbis image really fast if I where you or pistonheads should as it will breach their copyright.

You'll get an invoice for about £2700 soon. Had it happen to us in my last job.

I asked TVR Power if they have had any test reports and they told me they are doing their own tests.

Reckon will have more in about 3 weeks.

Looks like I'll have to wait for any feedback.

I considered a set of these and after ringing around today looks like there on a slow boat from china.
6/8 week delivery now going for gaz gold instead.
Prob the best bet for me for mainly road use but i would of had them if they were on the shelf.

Not knocking Racing Reds or anything but these are made in Taiwan. Gaz are made in the U.K. Shame this doesn't count for much any more !

I've been battering Gaz to make monotubes for two years because I know they could if they wanted to.
They are threatening to build a lab conditions workshop and offer monotubes, I just hope they don't miss the boat (not the slowboat from China)biggrin

Lets be honest, most of the current offerings seem to be a copy of the old Whitepower shocks and its not rocket science to build similar.

Depends on cost really !!!!!

In laymans terms what difference does monotube give me?

Ab Shocks - have you had a play with these shocks yet? Whats your view of the quality?

For the average driver you would probably be hard pushed to find much difference between mono and twintube shocks but monotubes are gas charged and respond quicker and smoother between bump and rebound because of the floating piston and they run cooler once you start to push the car hard, so fade less on track use.

I did the initial testing and valving so can't comment on the Racing Red performance, I'll wait for others to judge.

I'm picking up my Chim 500 from Neil Garner tomorrow with newly fitted Racing Reds - they've been on around 10 days but I've been away so unable to try. Neil has test driven the car and says the difference is remarkablebiggrin I'm planning a run up through the Peak District next weekend so should be a good test - will report back in due course - hope this helps. smile Ian

Good, I only had 5 Chimmy kits and didn't even have one for me to try so I'm in the hands of others and I've been waiting to see if they performed as well as the ones fitted to the Tuscan.

Any chance of a PM from the drivers point of view?
