Subscribing to Superbike - EDZ Innershell freebie.....
Discussion
I've bought a few motorbike magazines over the last couple of months, mainly to immerse myself in it all but also to plan for the future and keep my eyes on the prize
I've decided that I like Ride and Superbike, so I will probably subscribe to them. I've looked at the current Ride subscription offers and they don't appeal - I already have plenty of tools so don't need another 3/8 ratchet, nor do I need another rucksack!
Superbike are offering something which I was hoping to get some thoughts on - an EDZ Innershell jacket. It seems to have done well in the Ride and Bike magazine tests, according to the quotes on the EDZ website
I did a search and only got two opinions - one saying it was the best thing since sliced bread, other saying that the innershell jackets tear too easily.
Is it worth subscribing to Superbike and getting the innershell freebie, or should I wait for a better offer?
Thanks in advance.

I've been wondering about one of those too-but put off by price.£39 -ish? At that price it's not a bad reward for subscrbing.
I've never been uncomfortable with what I've worn under leathers-usually no more than T shirt and/or long sleeve T shirt (even bought PH one earlier for that). If chilly I've worn a ski roll neck top.
I'm not sure why wind-proof is necessary if jacket is good. Breathable is good I guess but again it's up to the wearer.

I think it works with leathers because a lot of leathers are thinly perforated for summer use. If the windchill becomes too much, I guess you remove the leather jacket and put the innershell on underneath.
Ride magazine seemed to be impressed by the innershell shirt/jacket but not so much by the matching trousers.

I guess you're right. I've never had ventilated leathers myself (just a bit TOO much racier for me!
I understand the Innershell is incredibly light weight & easy to carry. Personally I'd either have it on or not take it with me. Don't like to carry more than I can use.

I subscribed to Bike - liked the mag, when I subscribed a fleece was the freebie. Never got one, I guess maybe the first few 100 or so to subscribe got a fleece. Wasn't fussed as i liked the mag, will teach me to read smallprint in the future !
Can't see equivalent small print for the Superbike offer, so I've subscribed. Cheaper than buying it monthly, so if the shirt proves to be good then that's a bonus.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
