Just been thinking and wondered now that summer is on its way.....hopefully....would it be possible to wire up my second fan, think its for the air con?? to start working at the same time as my normal rad fan?? Surely this would increase the cooling abilities and give me a little bit more peace of mind?
Can it or has it been done before??

Yes it can and yes it has. The question is, why bother?
Unless you are ragging it it's unlikely that the temps will get that high and if you're ragging it the rad will be being ram-fed with air anyway!

I haven't bothered on mine and I have a big intercooled supercharger (with the IC in front of the AC condenser which is in front of the radiator). I do have an oil-cooler now but that was only fitted a few weeks ago, I've been without any additional cooling for 3 years with the SC and the only times I've seen temps get a bit too high has been after 20 minutes on track in the middle of summer and that's oil temp, not coolant.

you don't need fans when you're moving along, only when still. hence why F1 and other racing cars don't bother with them - and you shouldn't really be overheating when stationary unless there's something wrong...
