It looks like they're hosted elsewhere, and they're sodding slow. This wouldn't be a problem as I ignore them anyway
However until they load the menu bar (My Info| This Forum etc) doesn't work
In the time I have taken to type and correct this.
And twiddle my thumbs a bit.....
It still hasn't loaded!

...that is why I now use adblock.
+1. PH runs a treat now on the old 'elastic-band-powered' laptop. It was always crashing when using Internet Explorer 6, changed to Firefox and it was still the same, and the status bar always displayed it was getting some ad or another. Since installing Adblocker and blocking the ads it hasn't crashed once. I've now installed it on the desktop as well, although I never had a problem with PH on there anyway. Well recommended.

I'm guessing that the car related ones are being targeted at the single marque forums in particular (a quick browse of the Porsche forum gives me Porsche related ads for example). The general forums are probably being populated with 'network' ads. I have suggested that a sprinkling of car ads would be sensible, but I don't have much influence over that any more
Good point about the Ferrari forum. The leaderboard ad (the big one) was a one off for Verdi Ferrari originally and now it seems to be Specsavers or similar such nonsense
I'll see if I can get it removed next time I'm in the office.
