I've been unable to find any information on a Jaguar XJ220 kit. Does anyone know where to look or even if there has ever been one? Would seem kind of strange to me considering it's a beautiful car, if a tad underpowered and expensive.

Underpowered ??? Perhaps a bit big to be a kitcar ? (Given that it's too wide for most garages)

plus the engine is based on the Metro 6R4's and would you want metro engined supercar?

Perhaps I was a bit hasty with the underpowered comment. Judging from the order fiasco and the accompanying lawsuits though, I'm not the only one disappointed in the move from a 12 to a 6TT. Certainly could be a nice vehicle just with a sbc in the same power range.

Too wide for most garages? It would fit just fine in mine let me tell you.

I was just thinking it is such a beautiful car that it's a shame there are no kits. Look at all the lambo kits. Those things certainly aren't small. Not to mention the 220 is prettier from my point of view.

It could be done from scratch as long as you can find a suitable donor vehicle.

Like a bus........

But then you could at least put a proper engine in it, such as an XJR15 derived V12 (Lister seem to have a few of these knocking about).

I shudder to think how much that body would cost to have created. You could design your own interior. Put whatever drivetrain strikes your fancy in. Hmm, wonder what a custom roll cage setup would cost. Probably not that bad, but the body.............

Can't see a perfect replica of the interior being that hard, given which cars the parts fell off.

Plus I doubt you would want original seats, they weigh 86kgs each!
