If anyone sees a gallardo car cover been sold by some kids let me - mine was nicked off my car last night in Alderley Edge, just what is the point of nicking a car cover? Does anyone know why crime in this area is rising now? I have no clue but every day I now hear police cars screaming past lights flashing, if fact this morning I've already seen police car flying down the road towards kuntsford lights flashing

Oh well, I'll give the car a wash and go for a drive I'm sure that will make me smile again

I'd make sure your Gallardo is out of sight in future Simon - the theft of a car cover or acquiring 'slight' damage has been the precursor of far more serious vandalism for at least four people I know of in the last few years...

Many years ago, our dear old Accord was scratched and had the passenger wing mirror slightly cracked one night.

The following night every window was badly damaged and, (just for fun, I'm sure), the original equipment 'hifi' was stolen, being just a Panasonic LW/MW radio/cassette of 1982 vintage with a whole lot of 'other' moronic damage being done as well... mind you, that was in Acton in 1993 which is (still!) not Cheshire in 2008.

Lots of sirens and police cars howling around for no apparent reason you say?

Spirit of the age, sign of the times - terror and rain, goo-bombs and floods... Britain in the 21st century, thank you Presidents Tony and Dubya, thank you Comrades Broon-schlobber and Kenredder.

Today in rural-ish Lancashire, bright sunshine and smiling kids running about or riding their scruffy/shiny bikes, no sign of any pending doom or drowning in slurry.

Go drive Simon, fast and long.
