Hi Chaps,

I haven't been around these parts for a while - mostly I've been writing my thesis but I also had a bit of help going cold turkey with PH (they did it for my own good). I'd been on a mini PH odyessey. For some reason my real name has been err disappeared wink

anyway, everyone has to have a break sometimes and tonight I was messing around with DOSbox. If you're like me you probably played all the papyrus games (Indycar, Indycar racing 2, NASCAR, etc.) and a few other DOS racing sims (Grand Prix and Grand Prix 2). Well, most of them work with DOSbox. So tonight i've been playing about with NASCAR and INDYCAR 2, its fun. DOSbox can be got from http://www.dosbox.com/

I'm sure you all have the original disks but if not then I imagine you backed them up to the internet, perhaps you'll find where you the put files using google.

they all run fine on my Macbook so should be good on a fastish PC. haven't tried GP2 yet, I think that'll probably be a bit too demanding for the emulator.

anyway, try them and have fun (or just reminisce about them here).

I used to enjoy making massive pile ups with INDYCAR the simulation smile

when I am totally done with my (academic) life's work I might try and have a few rFactor races too. smile

PS FWD: you ain't seen me, right?
