While I can't claim to have the detail of Phockit's Cerbera or the Banana's downs and ups, I have been steadily building up quite a good record of the Griff.

I think this must be an excellent facility for newbies looking for info on running costs.

Now - anybody else want to claim the top spot for running costs - my theory continues to be that the more you use a TVR the better ....

Good to see someone else who uses their Griffith a great deal ... plenty of mileage.

Can't imagine life without a TVR - Griff is the first I have owned. Went to buy an S3 came away with a Griff and a big debt........
[/quote]

Never mind eh? As you say, good resource... which reminds me... need to update my profile on the S3...

I think your right there Ron, the more you drive them the better they are. I wish I could drive mine everyday but I have a dog so I need a backseat.

very useful beano500

My forthcoming griff will be a daily driver, but i'll just be sticking my fingers in my ears and singing "la la la" as regards to the running costs.

(Assuming you mean the "Woof, Woof" variety ) Why not fit it out with a dog harness?

At Hawthorns' Open Day recently, we met a nice couple and an S3 complete with installation of a canine back seat driver - seemed to enjoy the experience all round!

Someone else around here has done so too, I can remember the piccies....

My dad has a 2001 4.5 Chimeara and a 8yr English Bullterrier, oh and mother !

Very funny when he came to see us when we lived in London ...

Griffith following Chimeara, with and English bullterrier on the rear parcel shelf

(secured there, before we get the "irresponsible driver" posts)

We tried very hard, but didn´t manage the Great Dane.
He loves a ride in sportscars, but now hates the Griff.

Mine is a Black Lab and I have had him the Griff before but I was too worried about him treading over the leather. I think he prefers having the whole of the back seat in the type-R.

I've had a few dogs in the back in my younger days (ah, memories…), but not on the parcel shelf

Completly agree with your theory mate except i Dont Recommend driving in the Month of January:youknowwhy:
I use mine most days but its pretty low mileage compared to you and Johno.

As for the pic of the dog strapped to the rear roof strut..... is that like a quick way to get the roof down... slam brakes on mut flies forward pulling roof strut sending rear roof down....Viola
