Wii and a 3 year old

I have got a PS3 already but was thinking of getting a Wii too. Partly for me but would be nice if my 3 year old daughter could get some use out of it.

What do you guys think that have got one, any suggestions or recommendations?

They are far more fun than a PS3/360/PC (from a PC owner) great fun for multiplayer I'm sure you will (both! ) love it!

I think 3 is a bit too young, we had my girlfriend's nephew over the other week who is nearly 4, and whilst he wanted to play on the Wii he soon got frustrated with it, he couldn't quite grasp that he had to let go of the B button to let go of the ball when bowling. I think by the time he's five he'll be fine with it.

Then get him playing a different game

The baseball is quite easy (no buttons needed)...and there's got to be some really simple stuff out there.

The baseball is one of the tougher games on there, it's not the fact that no buttons are needed, more the exact timing needed to actually connect with the ball, half of the adults I see play it can't hit the ball.

I probably would have been best putting the boxing on and letting him play that, but he liked to get really close to the TV and I feared for the life of the thing.
