SAT NAV PROBLEM ON E46 BMW

Can anyone help!

The alternater failed on my E46 330 02 plate. Battery was put on charge at the garage. When it was reconnected I had lost the Nav system. Please note it is the factory fitted item with the TV etc. TV and all radio controls are working but the icon for the Nav has gone off the screen. I have had the car on the BMW Dis but it is showing no faults.

Any suggestions will be gratefully recieved.

Might need to disconnect the leads from the battery terminal, touch together the +ve and -ve LEADS (NOT terminal!!!) and reconnect in the correct order (usually -ve first). I read this before and have used it to clear sat nav crashes a couple of times. It works. Just make sure you do it properly (as always with messing about with the battery).

If in doubt take to a BMW dealer.
