Does anyone know any good ways of getting the dust off your car without scratching it ?

I wash and polish my car, but by the end of the day its got a coating of dust. Is it safe to dust it off with one of those 'feather' duster type things ?

Or do I just have to wash the whole thing again ?

A pal uses a special 3M cloth that seems v good.

I've got a big 'wax treated' brush that I bought from frost.co.uk

If you keep it moving the dust will not settle on it

I keep a bottle of the stuff in the boot all the time, it works well.

Huh? Perhaps if you wrapped it up in cling film you might be right.

I live on a country lane and after a thorough clean it can be covered in dust in just a few minutes - I end up driving at about 10 mph until I hit the main road. I'm known as the grumpy sod who never smiles (when people pass me on the lane at 30 mph waving and smiling but covering me and car in a huge cloud of dust!!)

Me too, they're really easy, quick & effective. I have one for in the house too (though I wouldn't own up to ever dusting the furniture).

I just give it a very gentle wipe with a standard yellow duster - it's not the Mona Lisa!
