I've fancied a 340R for a while now as a track day car.
I spotted and contacted the seller of the one in the classfieds

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/444897.htm

Decided £42k is a bit too rich and seems a bit over priced.
Not sure I like the red paint job either.
So I've tracked down Maidstone Sports Cars who did the conversion.

I guess the question is does anyone else know about this conversion?
Any comments? Any concerns?

Get a 2-eleven if you have 40k to spend, surely?

That car will piss all over every 2-eleven out there, and then some. Probably not worth that money, but it's an awesome car. Call MSC and talk to Andy (the chap who runs the place) about it. They've been installing the Link-Up Honda conversions in Elises, Exiges & 340R's for several years now and have done more than any other garage AFAIK.

that car was sold very recently to this guy, he then had it re-painted red, and is now seeling it again...

it;s done very few miles, it was converted by Maidstone then sat for over 12 moths (owber abroad I belive) then sold to the current owner.

cost wise, he paid noting like that for it, but the euro/£ rate has moved quite some since then, so I can see where it's come from...

Car itself is sound, it's got all the right parts and is still like new.

Not sure, at the time they had just completed two 340R's to the same spec, and I don't know which one they took to Donington.

it's a real shame that car does not go to sombody that will actually drive it, a few months back I was offered it, but lack of cash was a bit of an issue.

superb info
Really tempted to find a 340R and hand it over to Maidstone Sports Cars!
