can i adjust my own idle speed?

My car seems to be ticking over at about 650-700 rpm. Is it possible to adjust it yourself? Or is it something you need a garage for?

Just another quick one, what oil pressures are you getting when you gun it fully warmed up, say 4000rpm 5000rpm and 6000rpm? Mine doesn't seem to go much above 40-45 psi now i've had a new pressure sensor fitted. I used to get 50-55 psi when pushing it before i changed the sensor.

First question - yes is the answer. Never done it personally but read on here that its possible. Have search, you might find the answer.

Not sure about the second question never studied it.

i looked through some of the "adjusting idle" historical forum posts and they are a little confusing, some say dont do it as it adjusts your mixture levels and makes the car run crap and some say it's very easy.

Can anyone shed some light?

you can give the idle a tweek by adjusting the throttle cable stop nut under the airbox BUT it will only be a temporary measure as to do it properly it needs hooked up to the laptop and throttles balanced etc etc, there is no actual idle adjustment.

Give it a tweek but when it starts dropping again get it set up the proper way.
