Morning Start up Stuttering Advice
Discussion
Hey
Can someone help me, I'm hoping its nothing to worry about,
On start up of my 2000 MK1 Tuscan (When cold)if I left the engine running with no throttle pedal it starts to stutter then cuts out.
However after say a 2 min drive round the block then left its fine, is it purely cause the engine is cold and needs time for oil to circulate etc?
Any advice needed
Cheers

Hey John,
Yep, that's coz it's cold. Same thing happens to mine when it's really cold. I normally start up and give it a minimal amount of throttle for about 15 seconds and even then it sometimes feels like it's going to cut out unless I control it with a bit more throttle. If possible drive off straight away and it'll be fine.
