Building in another Audiosystem (Becker)
Discussion
Bought a Becker Indianapolis and this weekend I got the original Pioneer out.
The radiocable which fits in the Pioneer has a differetn connection compared to the Becker. Are there connectioncables in the trade or is it cutting the old connectioncables and make one cable out of two??
Sure more cerbera owners dealt with this before!?

Hi, the Becker loom is a 'ISO' connector which was a fairly universal lead, the Pioneer connector should have ended in ISO (depending on how old it is) but when installed in the TVR it may have been 'cut and shut' so to speak to the car loom.
If you go to Halfords or a specialist you can buy a male ISO lead which can be connected to the cars loom then this will be right for most modern radio's including your Becker.
Hope this makes sense.

I think I've found where the parfts came from. If you look on www.lowcostcaraudio.co.uk and search for the landrover iso lead PC2144, it looks like the TVR one. It is for Landrover built up to 1992.
Could that be it?

try this thread - I went through the same process fitting my stereo.

Basically
OK Quick update. The correct adapter to use is one for a Land Rover defender 8/79+ and Land Rover Discovery 11/89 to 3/94. I got mine from sextons for £12 and it's really easy to remove the centre plastic locking device and pull the pins out to put them in the correct place.
As said this needs modifying as the leads are not in the correct order and small platic bits just need nibbling from it to make it fit. It's quite obvious where.
For the record there are two rows of six pins divided into sets of three. On my cerbera these were
RED Green Grey Grey/Black Green Green/black
Battery Ign Spk FR+ Spk FR- Spk FL+ Spk FL-
Red/White Black Green/black Green/Red Grey/Red Grey/Black
Illum Earth Spk RL- Spk RL+ Spk RR+ Spk RR-
