Just wondered if anyone on here was knowledgable enough on the subject to give me a broad opinion? I put a full quota into ISAs last financial year, and have quite a bit this year to potentially put in, or pay it back off the mortgage. Looking at investment for up to 10yrs. Anyone with similar experiences?
I know funds in general are up and down all over the place and if I put in to them not sure whether to risk doing abroad funds or base it on UK growth only for now and limit my investmet amount that way.

I will be giving my F.A a ring but just wanted some feedback beforehand if poss.

Cheers

Dave

Paying off your mortgage will give you a guaranteed return. Stocks and shares may or may not give a better return or you might lose everything. You also need to consider the tax implications of either approach depending on your circumstances.

Over 10 years it is VERY likely that an equity ISA will outperform your mortgage rate...but not guaranteed. Simple as that.
