TomTom ONE XL Europe - Map corrections ?

Had a TomTom ONE XL Europe for a while, and to date, it's been great. Just gone through the periodic update process, and after installing the updates, clicked "Done". The system then returns to TomTom HOME - Page 1 of 2. I noticed that at the top right hand side of this page I've got a message preceded by a red dot, which says "your map is 29 weeks out of date, 18761 free Map Share map corrections waiting". So when I click on this note, it goes to the loading page, and then says "no items available".
Am I missing out on a series of worthwhile updates, or ?. Apologies but I’m not a techy, so any easy to follow help would be very much appreciated.

Same experience with my 920T. It looks like a bug in TT Home to me - I suspect that I have downloaded the map corrections.

So how have you managed to download your upgrades/corrections ?.

I have TT One XL. At the top right of the TT Home page it tells me that my maps are up to date and how many Mapshare corrections I have installed. It automatically installs the map share updates when I plug the device in, along with the quick gps stuff. In the tools menu at the top, there is a Mapshare option there but it is greyed out so can't select it and see what it does.
