PAS on t350

Hi guys,

Had my T350 a couple of months now, but I am still getting used to the direct steering. I had a VX220 before the T350 which had no PAS and very direct steering, you could feel everything through the wheel.

I am finding the T350 PAS seems to kill off any "feel" through the wheel, especially at higher speeds, has anybody done anything to combat this or is it just a case of get used to it?

I also find the ride can be harsh on B roads, is the damping on Nitrons or other after market suspension worth the upgrade?

When I got my T350 I was disappointed to find that it had to have PAS as I'd specified my previous Chims without. Initially the steering seems a bit 'darty' but you can acclimatise and put somewhat less heft into your steering input. I don't know whether all T350s are the same in this respect but mine is very sensitive to changes in tyre pressure so try a little more or a little less.
Last week my power steering died and despite my predelictation for unassisted steering you really wouldn't enjoy it, well I didn't anyway.

...especially when you consider the steering colum beeing designed for PAS and not ready to bear the extra weight without it= if you use it "unassisted" you may cause sig damage...

Obviously as usual TVR sourced us high quality parts this resulting in the PAS beeing from a Peugeot 206
Advantages its electric and lightweight
Disadvantages feeling, french reliability (it is not helping that the fuse sits in the left wheelhouse )
