Im after a gas mask for nitro warmups, where is the best place to buy one and what sort do i need?

Don't the filters have to be a special type to trap the carcinogenic crap that's in nitro fumes ? I got caught in a mass fire up at Indy once, practically the whole of the AA/FC pits cracked up almost simoultaneously (26 of 'em !)There were people running in all directions to get out of the fumes, women with kids choking on the brown cloud, it was no joke. I was out of there toute d' freakin' suite, with not a breath of wind the brown cloud just hung over the pro pits like a bomb had just gone off.

Ive seen all the top fuel teams wearing the S10 respirator like the one I use when I go on 'business trips' to Iraq !!

yep dialo is right the best you can get is the British Army S10 resperator you can get them from army surpless stores usually the canisters can also be bought from there as well sometimes if not try "silvermans" proberbly got a web site i too used them in the army and can vouch for there efectivness designed for nuclear chemical and biological warfare so nitro fumes ie tear gas is no problem

mine is a screwfix direct one.
i have had no problems using the
abek2p3(s)type filter from the same place.
