Worth spending money on bits for Origin B2??
Discussion
After using Garmin Mobile XT for a while I'm finding that although an excellent route finder its not great for speed cameras....constantly going off and sometimes difficult to understand what's its attempting to point out to me!
After a recent Mobile Scamera 'catch' I'm also keen on having a lazer detector.
I have an Origin B2 (no subscription) but no mounting plate (did not take it off car when I sold it)
Is it worth me spending £30ish (ebay) on a new/secondhand base plate + lazer module to re-use my B2 or should I fork out for a new Pogo?
I'm happy with Garmin as a route finder so camera finding is priority.
By choice I would be able to mount the Origin/Pogo in two cars.....
Price wise new Pogo = £250 and £25 second car kit (plus £25 to take account of 6 months subscription) = £300
B2 = £50 new subscription, and (guess) £60 for two mounts and lazer kits = £110
What does the alert do over the B2 to warrant it being cube shaped?!

I wouldnt bothr with the laser. If it goes off theyve got you as it takes milliseconds for the laser to get a reading so you will only know you have a ticket coming your way. There is a very very remote chance that it may pick up scatter and give you a little bit of warning as mine went off on two occasions and i never recieved nips even though i was at ticketable speed but i wouldnt hold your breath.
The pogo will be getting mobile sites soon i believe which the b2 wont i should think. Also the pogo will have a new 2yr warranty which presumably your b2 wont andits smaller than the b2.Oh and the pogo has a very handy function the b2 doesnt. When you go through a specs zone it not only shows the limit and your speed it also shows your average speed so if you arent looking at your speedo all the time a simple glance will tell you if you need to slow down and how long to get back below the average.
PM MADT350 for any further indepth advice he deals with sat navs and speed cam units so is the resident expert.
