Brand new 4 door M3 spotted!

well, maybe not, maybe its a boggo black 3 series with a m3 bonnet and a roof sharks fin thing, but i'd like to think its some kind of press car. anyways, i'm from leeds buy i'm a delivery driver, i do london once or twice a week, and i've seen it 4 maybe 5 times in the past month and a half, usually on the m25 (east and west of the m1, always going on the m1, and i once saw it going southbound though the monster 50zone between luton and the m25 on the m1. Only got a decent look at it once when traffic was going slow both ways, but it had flashy badges, big wheels and looked quite interesting.

Can anyone shed any light on it? i know its probably a 320 with shiney bits, but its nice to wonder...

I read in a BMW mag that was lent to me that there is to be a new shape M3 4door so maybe it was!

Yes it is possible that you have spotted one.

FYI E93CA M3 due to be launched on 26th April 2008.

The M3 Saloon has been out for ages. Very distincy by the carbon firbre roof to lower it's centre of gravity. No 316i ES will have this.

Only the M3 coupe comes with the carbon fibre roof.

Also, the carbon roof on the coupe only saves a significant amount over a car with a sunroof. I think its only 20KG lighter than a car with a regular roof. Seems a little gimmicky to me, given the amount of creature comforts they have it laiden down with.
