See Williams were testing at Kemble Airfield today, unfortunately did not see them on the move, I guess they were practacing starts. Nice to see them making good progress this year.

Damn! Wish I'd known it's only a short hop for me from Nailsworth!

Ahhhh interesting, I saw their truck coming down from Cirencester a couple of weeks ago. I overtook the transporter as it passed the Honda plant. It was heading towards the motorway.

At ast they have a decent budget, a settled design team and a decent engine and gearbox. Still need a better aero team and some luck! The jump from mid grid to BMW is huge this season.

I don't think the jump is really that big. Toyota is only a little slower than BMW, IMHO, and Honda only a little slower than Toyota. RBR are pretty close to Honda and Toyota's pace, but less consistent.

I don't know what's up with Williams, because they looked so promising in pre-season and in Melbourne, but seem to have dropped in form lately.

I think Williams is probably somewhere around the level as Honda and RBR, but they need to find some consistent performance.

Renault probably fall just behind them, followed by FI and STR as equal contenders, and Super Aguri tagging along at the back.

Is there any way of finding out when they are next going to be there?

probably would have been third driver or another tester, teams are unlikely to 'waste' a race driver on starts or straight line aero

Yeah, that's why I asked as I know an F3 driver did these same tests a few months ago year and wondered if it was the same person.
