My camera couldn't cope with the sun so the pics didn't turn out great. Couldn't get them all in either !

Anyone get some better ones ?

Green and Silver one next to Raw-SEWedge belongs to me. It seemed that the Wedgey guys and gals were the only people to park with each other in a group. Perhaps we are just the most organised...

And I agree, it was way too hot!

Dan.

Did you catch the blue 350 with the 5ltr tuned lump and 4 tail pipes. Sounded absolutely awesome, dare I say it, possibily better than the SEAC's.
Good to be entertained by those that did the run.

The Mania highlight for me was when Jeff Stratham turned up and said to me could he park his SEAC racer next to my trade stand.
I have to say it looks better than ever these days, also good to see that the road going yellow SEAC has gone to a good home.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your concern, all everyone else yesterday. Alas the AA (Absolute A**eholes ?) never did show up even after a number of calls. I eventually gave up on them at 6.30pm (3 hours after I rang in), and had to arrange another recovery vehicle at a cost of £200 to get me home. Finally got home at 9.30pm in a not very impressed mood. Tommorrow morning look out AA you will be hearing from me.

Anyway good to meet you all and hope you had good journeys home.

Great pictures Dave, nice to put faces to names at last! Really nice to meet up with some other Wedge owners,it was a pretty good line up too.

Glad to see you got back ok Jeff even if it did spoil the blat down the runway, at least Sean and Garry gave it some !
Sorry to here about your problems with the AA Ian, so what was the verdict in the end? seemed like a complete oil pump failure to me.

Only one SEAC though! Steve and Duncan where were you?
Garry, looks like you got a bargain with that one, certainly stands out some too!
Wedgie400 never got around to speaking but hopefully not too long until we can all get together again in a proper line up

Andy.

Great to meet you guys. Sorry didn't hook up with RAW-SEWedge as you were going for a blat when we we're back at the car (Yellow SEAC). Got similar piccies to you but got all cars in the two shots - probably no better than yours - how do you post them??
Great to hook up with Jeff, Ian, Seamus, AM400, Wedgie400, Hungary, etc. Must say that most of the Wedges were stunning but IMHO AM's white 400 is probably the tidiest Wedge I've ever seen. I counted 24 in total including Jeff Stathams awsome ex-works SEAC.
Sorry to hear about Jeff's red 400 fan problems and Ian's Black 400 which developed oil pressure problems.
Interesting thing on the speed front - perhaps due to the heat - was the max velocity achieved amongst those Wedgies chatting was 140 mph at the end of the 2 miles (hood down) - shame we had to que for the start due to waiting a minute between cars, in the name of safety.
Great to meet you all look forward to seeing you at a future event.
GB
PS: Exhaust broke on the way home - downpipe to silencer - doh. It was loud enough anyway.

Ian,
My experience of the AA has been good in the past - I have membership with them solely to cover the TVR as my Audi is covered by RAC . Ian if that happened to me i would expect them to at least cover your costs - they may even give you some further conpensation - let us no how you get on.

Thanks for the compliment Tas, nice to see those hours underneath the car being appreciated but there were some really nice Wedges on show all round.
Sorry to here about your exhaust problems, looks like there were a few casualties on the day.

I broke down en-route

Complete brake failure. Foot straight to the floor!
I though the whole point of dual circuit brakes was to prevent this sort of failure....
Luckily I was only dabbing the brakes to get some space for an overtake. It could have been really scary.

Up to that point it had been a gorgeous drive up the Fossway.
Saw a dark blue Wedge cruise past (looked like no boot spoiler); anyone on here ?

RAC didn't even want to attempt to fix it, opted straight for a recovery.
Not sure if it was "TVR" or "total brake failure" that put them off trying....

Took One and a half hours for me to get there, two hours for the contracted recovery truck to show up and nearly five hours to get me home!
M5 was totally gridlocked from Tewkesbury all the way South, loads of cars abandoned on the hard shoulder and it's easy to understand why there are reports on here of massive AA/RAC delays later in the day.

Well, I enjoyed the day. It was good to see a fair number of Wedges and thier faces.
Duncan, what a sod (not you but your brakes). Good job we decided to stay overnight Saturday as well other wise we would have caught that traffic mess and no fan. My litle problem was insignificant compared to the others but thanks for the concerns. Hope Ian has a good fix and Tas, how could you tell the difference.

PS mine is now diagnosed as fan motor now has sand as bearings.:searchingforareplacement:
