Whilst working ! popped in to david gerald for a quick visit and had a look at the green 350i for sale-first wedge ive seen in the flesh.
Nice looking car but whether it was because the bonnet was raised a bit (car was on a trickle charger )
i seemed to be awfully low down like a kid in daddys car trying to see over the bonnet-does the seats adjust for height?
The windscreen was cloudy along the bottom about an inch in the black area,is this normal/ expensive if should be replaced ?
Also saw a nice local wedge on ebay -but its a 280i although it looks mint and rare (1 of 6 made) seac interior for swiss bank.
would i be dissapointed with a 280 compared to a 350 in respect to performance/soundtrack ?

finally any good wedge links -road tests etc

thanks for your patience biggrin

Two good links
http://www.tvrwedgepages.co.uk/
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&a...biggrin

Search function will chuck up a lot of answers. Used advanced to keep it to the wedge section.

If you are looking at David Geralds then you must be near me.

If you would like to view a 350i and use it as a comparison then you are more than welcome to come and look at mine driving
(It also could be for sale).

Hi Stuart,

I`m in Bewdley with a 450SE but I do know of an excellent 350which is for sale (although not advertised) so if its ofinterest let me know I can put you in touch with the vendor - but I am leavingfor Ireland tomorrow andwont be back until Tuesday.

Before parting with your hard earned read www.tvrwedgepages.co.uk wealth of info on there toabsorb.

I`m sure there willbe one or two Wedges at Cosford but unfortunately not me this time.

Good luck in your quest and dont forget to get your name down for BBWF!

The seats are low and are not height adjustable, just the angle of the back of the seat, you could raise it a bit with spacers.

The Problem on the screen is common, and is mainly cosmetic, but can be changed on windscreen cover of insurance, just leave it a few months before you claim wink

If you can afford a 350, its a better car with a better sound track. A friend who had a 280 and was happy with it until I gave him a ride im my 400SE he since saved up and has upgraded to a 400SE and wish he did it in the 1st place.

All depends on budget, the 280 is a great car for the money.

I've see pictures of SEAC's with the 350/90 dash as well as the 400SE dash. Didn't the SEAC's have a narrower centre console with handbrake elsewhere?

IMHO - there was nothing in the SEAC interior that was not in the 390SE/400SE ..

Mine was just specified in full leather ..

Some SEAC's did get an umbrella handbrake ..

You could use a cushion!

Quite often the drivers seat collapses a bit internally whereas the passenger seat is like new, after about 80,000 miles. So you just swap the seats over. Try sitting in the passenger side and see if your view is improved, then ask the garage to swap them over.

My son has 'grown in' to the car...no longer needs the pillow, and can now see over the dashboard. hehe

Here's another US spec one, with wedg1e's Esprit to the left, and my (at the time) 390SE to the right.

Surely it will be pretty gutless, if with emissions stuff and extra bumper weight ? scratchchin

I'd go straight for a V8. yes
