O2 Sensor fault
Discussion
Dropped my car into Wantage Vauxhall at lunchtime as it keeps saying Engine Check. Turns out the fault is O2 oxygen sensors. Is this covered by Vauxhall? 18mth old(ish) car. And if so can Monkfish do the work under warentee as having seen 5 oily peeps snoop all over the car and deliver it back around to me in size 11 hob nail boots (very dirty I add) it wont be going to Wantage for the work!
I've had mine in before for the "check engine" warning. Was told it was the air flow sensor, is this the same thing? Anyway, they said they replaced it and reset the codes, and I wasn't charged. It must have been treated as a warranty job. Although I had only had the car a week or two 2nd hand from Greens, so they might have been doing it as a courtesy.
My car's in at the moment for some other work, but I've asked them to check the codes again, cos I've had the error come up again 3 times in the last couple of weeks. Dunno what it is this time.
Saw a couple or Ro's and R8's parked up at Holborough this morning. There was a carbon one parked up with the wortec stripes and orange calipers. Some geezer was asleep in the drivers seat. Don't think it was Brian though

Monkfish will not be able to carry out warranty work as they are not a franchised dealer.I did suggest to Vauxhall Customer Care that they allow my own car to have warranty work carried out by Monkfish on the basis that the two nearest 'approved' franchised dealers had been totally unsatisfactory (like so many others, it would appear)and that using one of the rare recommended ones was totally inconvenient. They were just not interested in what I had to say.
If I were you, I'd rather pay Monkfish than trust a dealer, which is a sad state of affairs, but obviously cost and convenience comes into it.
Sorry, just realised I didn't read your question properly. Joys of sneaking in a post at work. Not sure about the Monkfish thing. Wouldn't have thought so. Although on the Vauxhall warranty side, it appears the sensor is covered. I just got my ro back and they have advised that my error codes were for the air flow sensor and the O2 sensor like yours. I have to wait until they get them in before they will replace them, so it seems they are covered as no money was mentioned.
Now just have to wait a couple of weeks for the O2 sensor to turn up. Everything else was fixed, so otherwise a very successful trip to greens. Good luck with yours.

I had issues with my sensors andit was more the wiring than just the sensor.
Would suggest that you insist they look at that as well.
Will have a chat with Greens on the phone about takin it to them again... a bit of a journey for me but they also owe me for a replacement battery so I will be able to chat in the flesh rather than have them ignore my polite letter I sent! That or the place in Soton as they have some decent reports (and its alot closer!)Would suggest that you insist they look at that as well.

Picadors are fine - got to book mine in for the Mot and service. The guy that works on my car is fantastic and knows what he is doing. Does not work Saturdays though. Speak to Chris or Andy to arrange.
