The wife is out this evening and so I wanted to make Fish (she can't stand anything fishy at all).

So Sainsbury's provided some Haddock Loin fillets. yum

There was stuff in the fridge so this is what I made...

It was bloody wonderful. yes

It was also the easiest fish dish I have ever made...to wit:

Take haddock loins - as much as you need. Put a knob of butter into the pan, melt. Haddock goes in.

Take a scoop of creme fraiche stir in some Coleman's English mustard (not too strong, mind!)

Get a small scoop of frozen peas from the fridge.

Turn the haddock after a few minutes and add everything else. Cook very, very gently for another five minutes or so.

I served it with chips (I reckon crunchy tiny roast potatoes would be better) and steamed asparagus. Spoon the sauce/peas over the fish and asparagus generously.

Not exactly lo-cal but boy was it nice!

Been down to the Brum fish market and got some haddock. Will try with full fat yoghurt as I don't have any creme fraishe and maybe a little coriander leaf. Crinkle cut chips, carrots and runner beans as the veg. Mmmmmmmmmmmm
